Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks is no longer a stranger among Malaysians. They are pretty much well known for their signature XXL Fried Chicken and also their Oyster Mee Sua. In fact, they are available at most major shopping malls in Malaysia.

Crispy Salt Pepper Mushroom - Wasabi (RM5.50)

For Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks 10th anniversary, they are introducing a brand new snack to their family.. It is their Crispy Salt Pepper Mushroom! The dish consists of mushrooms fried with their signature batter and it comes with 5 different flavour as well. The flavours are Original, Kimchi, Seaweed, Wasabi and Sour Cream.

Crispy Salt Pepper Mushroom - Seaweed (RM5.50)

The mushroom were fried to crisp perfection with the batter. It is a very addictive snack and you just can't stop munching it. I personally would prefer the wasabi flavour since I love wasabi but I felt it could use a little more wasabi to it.

Sweet Plum Potato Fries (RM4.50)

The sweet plum potato fries were also reinvented to be slightly thicker. It used to be thinner and has a crispy texture to it but this time, you could really taste the sweet potato and also the chunkiness of its texture.

Obviously, not forgetting the dishes that made Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks what it stands for these days.

These dishes needed no introduction as anyone would have known how their signature dishes were like. By far, I like their Crispy Floss Egg Crepe the most. I always prefer something light to be eaten as snacks rather than something filing like the Mee Sua and XXL Crispy Chicken.
